Jul 13, 2018

Summer’s at its peak in Illinois! There’s no better time to crack open a refreshing, crisp beer than on a hot day in July. We’ve got the seasonal must-haves from our favorite local breweries. These summer ales are guaranteed to pair perfectly with those hot days on the grill!

Tucked away in the industrial park of Naperville awaits the warehouse-like structure of Solemn Oath Brewery. Famous for their Belgian-inspired and barrel-aged beers, Solemn Oath offers an authentic brewery experience! Guests can sip their summer brews in the Taproom while witnessing their favorite beers brewed in real time. Less than twenty minutes away from our Ashwood Park Community, head to Solemn Oath for a pint of the White Van. This dry hopped Belgian style beer is bursting with zesty orange flavors and aromas.

Alter Brewing Company prides itself on delivering a quality beer that everyone loves! A true craft beer hub where experts and novices can gather, the Naperville brewing company offers a yearly seasonal list. Whether you’re a grill master looking for the perfect cold brew or winding down after a day off work, the Day Sipper is the ideal companion on a hot summer day. A light-bodied German-style Pils, the crisp and clean medium dry finish will leave you feeling refreshed.

The staff at Scorched Earth Brewing Company believes that beer is woven into many cultural traditions and events, which is why they have the perfect beer for all of your summer BBQs! Introducing the James’ Giant Peach Got BBQ’d, a peach and apricot grodziskie smoked ale that pairs great with juicy grilled meats. Twenty-four minutes away from our Graystone at Highland Woods community, the Scorched Earth Brewing Company is ready to share their family tradition with you.

Last but certainly not least on our list of summer beers is the Ukulele, a Citra IPA from Granite City Brewery. This beer explodes with tropical aromas of mango and passion fruit. You’ll be able to taste all the flavors of summer in this brew including mango, papaya, and even pineapple. However, don’t worry beer lovers, this IPA is brewed with loads of Citra hops for the right amount of bitterness.
