National Sweet Corn Festival

August 30 – September 3

The Hoopeston Jaycees invite you to the 75th Annual National Sweet Corn Festival! Festival-goers can kick off their fall festival season with a special concert from country music star Chris Lane, Smithfield, and Trey Hughes! This year’s sweet corn festival features a host of activities including the Grande Parade, Sweetheart pageant, carnival, demolition derby, tractor pull, karaoke contest, joke telling competition, flea market, kids activities, crafts, beer garden, free sweet corn and much more.

Harvest Day at Garfield Park Conservatory

September 15

Join the Garfield Park Conservatory for their annual Harvest Day! Enjoy the celebration of pioneer living with beekeeping demonstrations and honey tasting, live goats and chickens composting events, kids activities and lawn games, live music and much more!

Long Grove Apple Festival

September 21 – 23

About an hour’s drive away from our Hidden Creek community, residents can participate in the Long Grove Apple Festival! Fall Fest at Lincoln Park Zoo

Friday-Sunday from September 28-October 28

Lincoln Park embraces fall in Chicago with there fourth Annual Fall Fest! This free, family-friendly celebration lets guests experience harvest fun in the heart of the city. From picking the perfect pumpkin to climbing up a hay mountain, there’s something for everyone. This year’s festival features special attractions throughout the zoo including a Ferris wheel, corn maze, corn pool, fun slide, inflatable obstacle course and more.

Fall Color Festival

The Fall Color Festival at the Morton Arboretum is a Naperville must attend! Enjoy the breathtaking views that autumn has to offer at one of the arboretums fall events.
