Property Search and Land Acquisition in the Chicago Suburbs

Some clients come to us with a property already in mind, while others are still searching for their perfect location. Either way, we're here to help.

Navigating the New Home Construction Process

At Overstreet Builders, we understand the importance of timelines, so we work closely with you to set realistic expectations. We also expect that building your home will be of top priority for our buyers and that they will do their best to move through the process quickly!

Depending on if you already have a property or need to find one, the timeline for off-site builds can vary greatly depending on the following items:

  • Property search
  • Contract negotiations
  • Land preparation
  • Time to design floor plan and elevation
  • Permitting
  • Interior and exterior selections
  • How large the home is

But once all of those factors are known, the general dig-to-deliver timeline is around 7-8 months.

You might need to plan some additional time for your property search, land preparation, and permits, but our goal is always to deliver a structurally sound, high-quality home within the shortest possible time frame.
